During the making of the documentary film No Bigger Than a Minute, director Steven Delano went to a genetics clinic for testing to diagnose his particular form of dwarfism. During that visit the geneticist told Steven that an individual’s particular sequence of genes might be thought of as notes on a musical scale. With this in mind, Steven asked a composer to arrange his mutated DNA code into a theme for this film’s soundtrack. Over the course of the editing process musicians recorded several different arrangements in many different musical styles.
